Sara was my first dog and the reason why I fell in love with border collies and dog sports. Sara was really a piece of gold, I'm not sure if I will ever get another dog like her. Sara was a stable, brave, independent and brave dog who was tough and willing to do her own decisions. She was not the easiest dog for a novice handler, but when I finally understood how to train her, she was simply amazing worker. Sara had a long and successful career in her sports, and we reached so many goals I had never dared to even dream of. In the age of 3 years she became a Finnish Obedience champion. She competed in working trials (messenger dog) winning Finnish national championships in 2009 and gaining silver medal in 2008. Sara represented Finland in the Nordic Championships of Working trials (NOM) two times, 2008 and 2009. In agility Sara was very fast and independent, quite a challenge for a slow newbie handler, but even so she managed to compete in A3 many years gaining titles  Finnish Agility Champion and Finnish Jumping Champion. Sara loved to run in front of my skis and pull me, so we competed couple of times in cross-country skiing as well. After retiring from agility and working trials she started to compete in rally-obedience, and she got to compete in the highest class even in her retirement-sport.

Despite Sara's rough start for the life, she got to live a long and healty life. Sara had kidney dysplasia and her left kidney was removed when she was a puppy. Sara's other kidney worked well her whole life and she started to have symptoms of chronic kidney disease in the age of 12 years. Sara was never sick, she did not have any accidents or other problems and she had strong paws and nails and good skin and ears. Sara was euthanized in the age of 13,5 years due to chronic kidney disease and other geriatric problems.
